The Client
A growth-stage software-as-a-service (SaaS) start-up with a solution streamlining business operations within the commercial insurance industry in the United States, Europe and Canada.
Overview
Our client relied on a PDF-generation solution which required operators to customize proposal templates in a manual, non-codified manner. Maintaining the solution was cumbersome and manual, furthermore, their existing document generation solution was not congruent with the rest of their modern and web-based solution.
To modernize the proposal and quotation process and make it less manual, we created a web-based publishing solution which is fully customizable via a modern templating language and data-API. This system can be used by software engineers and designers to create highly scaleable and performing document publishing on the web.
The Solution
Design
We worked closely with client to ensure top-notch, high-glass UX/UI design appropriate for the clients and stakeholders in the industry.
Architecture
A high performance, data access API written in Go Lang. Base-backed web-application in 3 layers: persistent storage, backend service and a user-facing Frontend application.
Persistent Storage: a relational database (Postgres).
Backend Service: The backend service enables access to proposal templates and proposal data.
Frontend Application: the in-browser app for viewing proposals.
Cloud Deployment
The solution has been released and operationalized in a container-based, in-the-Cloud deployment profile. This profile is highly reliable and available. Furthermore, it allows for relatively low-cost of delivery business value.
