The Client

A mid-sized manufacturing company producing and distributing premium residential and commercial doors and windows for clients across North America.

Overview

Our client relied on multiple manual processes for planning and scheduling their workflows, specifically in Production Planning, Shipping Scheduling and Installation Scheduling. The manual process required hours (and days) of data-downloading from various systems, data-entry in multiple Excel sheets and Outlook calendars and data-reconciliation among multiple reports.

To streamline these processes, we created a scheduling solution which is easy-to-use for users facilitating a systematic data-recording approach. Furthermore, we integrated with multiple systems within the company for better reconciled and real-time reporting.

Ease-of-use

The system’s modern user-interface allows schedulers to add items (shipment, production-start appointment, installation appointment, etc) via drag-and-drop from a convenient “backlog” of items ready and prioritized to be scheduled.

Integration with ERP, Accounting and other systems

By virtue of being connected to other systems, users and management can get real-time updates and reporting as the schedule evolves.

Extensibility and Email notifications

The solution enables real-time updates to be shared with multiple colleagues (and clients), resulting in increased efficiency and transparency in communications.
